Scott Turnbull
Scott Turnbull is the name behind a friendly, likeable, and
personable, host who has worked various radio formats, every time
slot, and on a number of radio stations since the mid 1970's.
Scott was heard on the CKSO AM airwaves from 1976 to
the early 1980's. Before Sudbury, Scott was on AM radio in
Dryden and then Leamington, near Windsor. After Sudbury, Scott
headed to North Bay and eventually Thunder Bay.
By 1988 Turnbull was in Sault Ste. Marie and although he thought
he'd only be in the city for a short while, continues to work and
enjoy the airwaves in this market. Scott and his wife now call
the Sault their home. Presently, he is hosting mornings on EZ
Rock 100.5 FM. He had previously worked afternoons on Q104.3.
You can can also hear Scott Turnbull, host of Solid Gold Saturday
Night, with hits from the 60's & 70's on various Rogers' FM stations
in Ontario including Sault Ste. Marie, Sudbury and North Bay.
Scott Turnbull is a sports enthusiast to say the least! Hockey
is his greatest passion. He served as colour commentator for
the Soo Greyhounds of the Ontario Hockey League for ten years,
retiring from that position at the end of 2005. He is a huge
fan of football and of the Detroit Tigers ball team.
He became a proud grandfather for the first time on January 3rd of
2006 with the birth of Rowan!
