Michael Cranston Michael Cranston's early years in radio began with a job in Owen Sound before moving on to other stations.  He worked for a few months at CHUM starting August of 1967 where he did weekends.  After leaving he worked at other Southern Ontario stations.  Then known as G. Michael Cranston, he began mornings at CKSO AM in the very early 1970's.  He left sometime later and returned in the latter part of that decade leaving in the early 1980's. More recently, Mike Cranston has been keeping busy in Halifax at CHNS.
