About this Site In the coming months (spring of 2006) this site will grow to tell the story of a broadcaster that became an integral part of the history of the Sudbury (Ontario) area.  CKSO-TV signed on October 25th, 1953 becoming Canada's first privately owned television station.  The people behind this precedent were George Miller, Q. C., W. E. Mason, Jim Cooper Q.C, and Bill Plaunt, This site will tell about the people, the programming, the equipment and the way in which the AM. FM and TV broadcasts impacted the area from one decade to the next. The digital technology of today has permanently changed the broadcast industry and so our story will reflect with a sense of love and nostalgia on the ways and means of the industry in the not so distant past.
